We rely on our annual Church Gate and Flag Day Collections as a dependable source of funding to provide our services for those at risk of, or experiencing homelessness in the West. Each year, Galway Simon Community raises over €20,000 through collections in Galway, Mayo, and Roscommon.
This simply would be possible without the incredible support of our volunteer collectors and coordinators who play a vital role in raising these funds.
Our annual Church Gate Collections take place in September and we are actively looking for local leaders who would like to coordinate a collection, as well as volunteer collectors who would like to gift an hour or two of their time to help at a collection in their area.
Our Flag Day collections typically take place in November and December and we equally rely on volunteer support for these. We also love to hear from people who like to organise their own Flag Day or supermarket bag pack outside of this.
