Health & Safety Officer

Contract Details: Full-time | Permanent Contract | 39 hours per week

Job Purpose: The successful candidate will be required to support the organisation in the development and delivery of Health and Safety policy and practice and promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.

Senior Occupational Therapist

Contract Details: Part-time | 3 Year Fixed-Term Contract | 22.5 hours per week

Job Purpose: To work as a senior member of the multi-disciplinary team to develop, manage and deliver an Occupational Therapy service as part of the supports to clients of Homeless Services in Galway City and the Western Region, (Counties Galway, Mayo and Roscommon) with a particular focus on ‘The Housing First’ initiative in accordance with established professional standards, guidelines and policy.

The successful candidate will play a key role supporting the recovery of people with complex care needs. The OT will work with clients of Homeless Services to complete assessments as well as promoting optimal functioning in activities of daily living. Collaborating with a range of formal and informal services the OT will help to ensure that there are opportunities for clients to access social, educational and recreational opportunities.

Community Integration & Development Officer Job Description

Housing Support Assistant 

2 Positions Available

Contract Details: 1 Year Fixed-Term Contract | 32 hours per week on average.

These hours will be worked on a four-week rolling roster and include unsocial hours in accordance with the roster.

Job Purpose: To work as part of a staff team in one of Galway Simon Community’s Residential Services. Housing Support Assistants work alongside our Housing Support Officer and Service Manager, delivering practical and emotional supports to clients as part of their overall agreed support plan.

The successful candidate will act as a key member of the team, ensuring the day-to-day safe running of the service and in helping clients maximise their housing security, while supporting and preparing them for move on and independent living as appropriate. This involves providing support to people in areas such as health and well- being, personal development, self-care, personal administration, and home management as necessary
