GIVE WEST: Support Us To End Homelessness In The West

The Schools Sleep Out for Simon offers a unique opportunity for students to come together to learn about homelessness and make a positive impact in their local community.

There are many ways your school, college or youth group can get involved with Galway Simon Community. From hosting a school talk to fundraising and volunteering, you can help us end homelessness for good.

Every year we deliver Youth Advocacy talks to schools, colleges and youth groups across Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. The interactive programme enables young people to understand the causes and solutions to homelessness, helps build social awareness and encourages students to get involved and become a part of the solution.

Our talks are delivered free of charge by Galway Simon staff members but participation in fundraising events to support the organisation is encouraged.

Please contact us using the form below.

There are loads of fun ways for your school or youth group to raise funds to support those facing homelessness.

Get your school involved today:

  • Host a Sleep Out for Simon event at your school. Many schools have this and we are here to help
  • Nominate Galway Simon Community as your chosen charity to support through the academic year
  • Encourage students, staff and parents to get involved with fundraising, such as a sponsored walk or silence, non-uniform day, or bake sale
  • Organise a collection of toiletries or non-perishable food for those supported by our services
