Organise Your Own Community Dip At Dawn
Galway, Mayo & Roscommon
December 14th – 21st
Organise your own Dip at Dawn in Galway, Mayo or Roscommon and be part of this special morning wherever you are. Gather your friends, family or community and make a splash together.
Winter Solstice Dip At Dawn
As dawn breaks over Salthill, we’ll come together for a refreshing dip in Galway Bay, a warming hot drink and a shared moment of reflection, gratitude and connection. Â
But this is about more than watching the sunrise. Â
Every day, people across Galway, Mayo and Roscommon face the uncertainty, trauma and hardship of homelessness. By taking part in Dip at Dawn, you’re helping Galway Simon Community support people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity throughout Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. Â
Standing together on Winter Solstice morning reminds us that however dark life can feel, brighter days lie ahead. It reminds us of the power of community, compassion and belonging. Â
As the first light appears on the horizon, we’ll celebrate what connects us all: the hope that everyone has a place to call home. Â
Together we rise. Â
