FULL-TIME VOLUNTEERING

Full-time volunteering in Galway Simon Community

Every year, we take on a team of amazing people who volunteer with us on a full-time basis. Our full-time volunteers work alongside our staff and make a huge difference in our services through their contribution. In return for this, they learn valuable skills and experiences while building friends for life and memories that they never want to let go of.

Our full-time volunteers commit to 35 hours per week for a duration of 6-12 months and each of them are provided with:

  •         Accommodation
  •         Weekly Allowance
  •         Training and Development

ESC Volunteers

ESC (European Solidarity Corps) is an international volunteer programme, managed by Léargas, which funds people from European countries to volunteer in a non-profit organisation in another European country, usually for a period of 6 to 12 months.

Every year, we have people who volunteer on a full-time basis through the ESC programme. All costs, including the pre-departure training, travel and accommodation are paid for; ESC volunteers also receive a small monthly allowance as ‘pocket money’ during their placement.
