We are calling on the local community to get involved in our Sing for Simon, an exciting event in the Galway Christmas calendar. The eight hour Christmas Carolathon will play a critical role in generating awareness and funds for homelessness during what is often the coldest, and for some, the loneliest time of year. Local music groups and choirs will join us for the event on Sunday 17th December at Eyre Square Shopping Centre in support of those facing homelessness in our community.Sing for Simon will take place from 11am to 7pm with live performances from choirs including The A Capella Knights and Ignite Gospel Choir. We are also very excited to have the Dublin branch of the High Hopes Choir on board as well our very own Galway Simon Music Project Choir which is made up of people accessing our services, volunteers and staff members. We are looking for all the support we can get on the day so if you have an hour or two to spare and would like to join in the festivities by shaking a bucket and signing along, please get in touch with Amy on 091 381828 or email [email protected] you’re in town on the day, make sure to take a break from the shopping and join us for some festive fun. The event aims to raise €5,000 to support those most vulnerable to homelessness in our community throughout the Christmas period and into the New Year ahead.
