Employees from Musgraves in Galway will undertake a 12 hour sponsored sleep out this Friday on Shop Street in Galway City to raise awareness for homelessness and to fundraise for The Simon Communities. They will take to the streets from 8pm until 8am and will be asking the public for their support in raising money for the homeless charity.
“The Simon Community does incredible work to provide essential services to some of the most vulnerable people in our local communities”, said Catherine Lambe, HR Director, Musgrave Wholesale Partners, “and we are very pleased to be able to lend them our support and help them to achieve their goals.”
The sleep out is one of several events organised by the retail and wholesale company on behalf of The Simon Communities, who they have partnered with this year. Musgrave branches in Galway, Dublin and Cork have linked in with their local Simon Communities to engage their employees in local activities.
The Simon Communities deliver supports and services to over 7,000 people and families who experience or are at risk of homelessness every year.
