Local Galway group, The A Capella Knights, will host their fourth annual Concert, ‘The Knights before Christmas’ in aid of Galway Simon Community, who they have kindly been supporting for the last number of years. The concert will take place in the magnificent setting of Galway Cathedral on Saturday 15th December at 7:45pm. A perfect way to kick off Christmas week!
Over the last couple of years the group have raised over €30,000 for Galway Simon Community and hope to continue to support the charity this year. Being their fourth Christmas concert the group are building on the success of previous years and making the concert bigger and better than before. This year they will be joined by Galway’s Lucia Evans as well as The Hession School of Dance, Frenchville Brass Ensemble, Galway City Youth Choir and the amazing Galway Simon Music Project. The concert will feature a magical mix of a capella vocals, dance performances and beautiful instrumentals, something for everyone to enjoy!
“We are delighted to be hosting our Knights Before Christmas concert again this year in aid of Galway Simon. All proceeds from the concert will go towards Galway Simon’s Essentials Fund. The fund supports people with a variety of basic essentials such as heating, electricity and groceries, and its main goal is to prevent people from sliding into emergency homeless provision. Every year we are taken back by the support of the people of Galway and this year is no different. As the number of people requiring Galway Simon’s help is at an all-time high, this concert is our way of doing something to try to help.
Last year’s event was a roaring success and raised €10,000 for those who are experiencing homelessness here in Galway. We are inviting to community of Galway to come along and help us to raise the roof yet again this year!” says Gary of The A Capella Knights.
Tickets for the concerts cost €15 for a single ticket, €10 concession and €40 for a family ticket and are available now. Click here for tickets and event information. 100% of proceeds from the concert will go to Galway Simon Communities essentials fund.BUY TICKETS
