The Knights Before Christmas in aid of Galway Simon Community

The A Capella knights members Local Galway group, The A Capella Knights, will host their third annual Christmas Concert, ‘The Knights before Christmas’ in aid of Galway Simon Community, who they have supported over the last number of years. The concert will take place in the fabulous setting of Galway Cathedral on Saturday 2nd December, which will include a Children’s Concert at 3pm, with the Evening Concert at 7:45pm.

Building on the success of their previous concerts, the group will be celebrating all things Christmas through a mix of a capella vocals, dance and instrumentalists. Special guests at the Children’s concert will include The Hession School of Dance, Scoil íde and Claddagh National School. At the Evening concert, The A Capella Knights will be joined by The Hession School of Dance, Galway Simon Music Project, Frenchville Brass Ensemble and Galway City Youth Choir.

“Every year the concert gets bigger and better and we’re so glad to be able to perform for the third year in a row and support Galway Simon Community. The homelessness crisis in Galway has become even more serious, especially in the last year. We are seeing the need, now more than ever, for services like Galway Simon’s.

“We anticipate another fantastic concert of festivities and fun to get us all in the Christmas spirit. We are delighted to be joined by some of Galway’s finest talent, while raising much needed funds for those facing homelessness. Last year’s the event raised over €8,000 and the night was a roaring success. We hope to build on that and raise the roof yet again this year!” says Keith of The A Capella Knights.

Tickets for both concerts cost €15 and are available from www.galwaysimon.ie. The children’s concert will be free of charge to anyone under the age of 12 when accompanied by an adult.
