Are you ready for a challenge to kick-start your summer training? Galway Simon Community has the perfect solution for you, their Kick Assphalt 10/10 Run on June 28th in Salthill, Galway. Participants can set their own challenge and choose from a 10K or 10 Mile distance.
The 10K is the perfect match for first time participants or for those trying to clock up a personal best. At this distance, you can participate by running, jogging or walking. For participants looking for a challenge, the 10 Mile run will suit. This distance is a great way to train for a half or full marathon.
Both routes for the run are flat and fast and will allow you to take in the beautiful scenery of Galway Bay. Participants must be 18 years of age or over. Every participant will be provided with a Technical Running T-Shirt, Race Medal and official Timing.
Last year, over 1,000 people signed up to the Kick Asshphalt 10/10 Run. Register at www.galwaysimon.ie to be part of this great fundraiser for Galway Simon Community. The main event sponsor is Bons Secours Hospital Galway who provides a wide range of surgical and medical services. Registration costs €25. Proceeds from the event will go to Galway Simon Community who provides services to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
